Make is an amazing and simple tool. Most people use it for software development and management, but it can do so much more. CMS Make is a Pipelines based tool written in Rexx which processes standard Unix makefiles. These files define rules to achieve goals. Each goal is represented by a file. (Files are normally standard disk-resident entities but can be symbolic.) A significant difference of CMS Make from other 'make' utilities is that CMS Make recognizes leading white space rather than strictly TAB characters. CMS Make comes with a number of commands and tools which mimic a Unix environment.
